Becoming an Entrepreneur

Are you an entrepreneur? Or, would you like to be? Let’s see if you have what it takes to be or become an entrepreneur.

INTRODUCTION: What is an Entrepreneur definition

An entrepreneur separates him or herself from the routine 9-5ers, those putting all their time and effort into living paycheck to paycheck.

So, why then are YOU here? Something may have caught your eye enough to take a look at what it takes to become an entrepreneur. If that is you, please read on and you will soon find out if you qualify.

ARE YOU AN ENTREPRENEUR? What is an Entrepreneur definition

Yes, the fact is simple. Inside, you may feel like you’re a hard worker, but want more out of life. So, does THIS mean you are an entrepreneur? Truthfully, you may very well have what it takes, accept for the fact that your current income may not be where you want it to be.

Well, in all honesty, I can’t make you an entrepreneur. However, if you DO have some of the entrepreneurial characteristics, you are well on your way!

BELOW ARE 10 CHARACTERISTICS THAT AN ENTREPRENEUR HAS–YOU JUST MAY SEE SOME OF YOUR OWN!

1. Believe in Yourself.

An entrepreneur has a keen sense of self. He or she truly believes that, no matter what, they can accomplish anything they set their minds to. They make goals and stick with them. Whether or not anyone else believes in them, they believe in themselves. Their biggest trait is self confidence; overcoming any obstacles that get in their way. Motivation is their driving force and they think of nothing else but succeeding.

Entrepreneurs love a good challenge and they’ll put total focus on their task at hand. They will stop at nothing, telling themselves over and over that, “I am a champion!”

2. An Entrepreneur Has Self-Worth.

Do YOU know you’re worth? Are you worth what your paycheck says, or a whole lot more? Are you trading your precious time away from family to simply just get by? Well, entrepreneurs make sure they are worth a whole lot more!

Do you spend close to 2,400 hours a year or more working in a job you don’t particularly care for, and when all is said and done, have little or nothing to show for it? What is your worth? Think about it! Maybe you are working for someone else’s dream instead of your own. Being an entrepreneur means that you know your worth and are willing to do something about it, at any cost.

3. An Entrepreneur Does More Listening Than Talking.

Being an entrepreneur means being a great listener. Yes, having the ability to listen helps one to aborb and learn more, staying fully focused on what is being said—a sure way to succeed! There are so many people out there, whether on or offline that talk more and listen less. My mother always said that God made us with two ears and one mouth for a reason!

A good listener can read and gain full knowledge, write content with emotion, take action more efficiently and comprehend so much more! Entrepreneurs who are good listeners are quick to resolve challenges.

4. An Entrepreneur Dives Into Resources.

Whatever an entrepreneur doesn’t know, he does research, being constantly and consistently submerged in books or online resources. They are always one to figure it out. Being curious when not knowing an answer is a great trait to have! Some entrepreneurs even study and dive more into resources so that they can make a living solving other’s problems.

This is the work of an online entrepreneur.

5. An Entrepreneur is Ambitious.

People who are ambitious have or show a strong desire to succeed, are determined to do so. They are the ones that don’t simply dream, they DO! Yes, entrepreneurs take things into their own hands as a leader, and mold their creativity. They are the ones who are confident about building anything with success. Their stress level is nonexistent because they are not focused on failure. They truly are living their own life!

6. An Entrepreneur Works Hard and Smart.

Having the characteristic of being a hard worker gives them a determined edge. Entrepreneurs love the journey and won’t cease until they get to their successful destination. It’s a matter of either wanting or doing. Deep concentration goes into any dream, and hard work is what it’s all about in getting there. If you work hard now, you can reap what you sow later on. It even say it in the Bible!

The name of the game is to concentrate deeply on what you want to obtain, and push forward to make it happen! Then, you’ll be able to enjoy time freedom.

7. An Entrepreneur is Caring and Giving.

There are a lot of people who will take, take, take. Entrepreneurs on the other hand are givers. They don’t always think of themselves, they think of others. Online entrepreneurs are always helping others find solutions to their challenges. They’re not focused on making a profit. Instead, they will help others, which in turn, can earn them income.

So, a true characteristic of an entrepreneur is to have the ability to reach out to those in need without expecting anything in return. Reaping rewards is not an option. However, paying it forward comes second nature. The world would truly be a much better place with more entrepreneurs!

8. An Entrepreneur is Frugal.

And, entrepreneurs definitely live within their means. They do not live extravagant lifestyles, becoming broke at a higher lever. Instead, they make sure that the money they make provides their family with what they need to live a comfortable life. Again, stress-free!

You don’t have to live in a billion dollar home on a million dollar salary. Spending money on things you need, and not on what you want but can’t afford is a much better plan. Debt is running rampant everywhere, so don’t go chasing those shiny new objects. Be frugal.

9. An Entrepreneur is an Owner.

Yes, entrepreneurs don’t work as an employee. Instead, they own the company! Their dream isn’t running a company, but owning it! Being self-employed does have it’s ups and downs. But, like an entrepreneur, working to fulfill your dreams pushes all else aside. When you act like an “owner” and not an employee, you’ve got the world in your hands.

10. An Entrepreneur Has Momentum.

Early on toward success may be a difficult time for most entrepreneur wanna-bes. No, it doesn’t quite look like your ultimate success story. However, having momentum through the valleys will surely bring you up the mountain–and against all odds!
